General Information

“We love our house at 2 Nutfield Road, and have been really happy here ever since we moved in almost 4 years ago. We were just delighted to have a detached house with so much parking, a spacious kitchen (with a double oven!), a lounge with original floor boards and a working fireplace, and all walking distance from a commuter station to central London! We didn’t plan on leaving so soon, but we happened to see a house right by the airfield at Redhill Aerodrome and we’re both such big fans of aviation that we couldn’t let the opportunity slip through our fingers. Unfortunately that means we need to let go of our lovely home, with all its wonderful perks – including being less than 10 minutes’ walk (7 according to Gareth!) from the railway station that brings you straight to London Victoria, London Bridge and King’s Cross St. Pancras, as well as getting you to Gatwick in less than 15 mins. It’s been really handy that you can Oyster to and from Central London and Gatwick too – great for guests that have visited us from abroad, as well as for our friends from London to come down for the day. The one downside of being so close to the train station is that the house is also very close to the railway line, but we have to say that thanks to the good quality double glazing(and the reliably poor quality English weather!), we honestly don’t even notice any noise from the trains unless we’re actually in the garden. You might notice one or two when you first visit, but it’s not something that has ever bothered us in the house, or held us back from entertaining or enjoying our home. In fact, we were so happy with the house, and so sure that we were staying for at least another few years that Gareth even went to the effort of building a “Man Cave” / Home Office / Summer House in the garden! Of course we will sadly need to leave it behind, as we will the rest of the house, but we’re sure it will be something that you can make the most of, and have many of your own happy memories.
