Description

What the owners say... The day we viewed Manor Road for the First time…

We were really keen to view the house having seen it online. On paper it was exactly what we wanted. From the kerb it was very appealing, a period property oozing character and charm. I was keen to get inside and see if it was just as impressive as the outside.

It didn‘t disappoint, the sunlight shone through the lead line windows and lit up the sitting room. It looked like little diamonds dancing across the walls. I was hooked. I instantly had ‘The feeling‘.

We were shown into the dining room where we could see through the original sash window and down to the bottom of the garden it was a perfect size for us. Back in the dining room my eye was drawn to the fireplace and the size of the current owners table, I started to imagine Christmas dinner with all the family and how I would decorate the room. My excitement was mounting.

The kitchen was larger than I was expecting. I liked the oven positioned within the original fireplace, it was a nice touch and suited the property perfectly.

Upstairs I was relieved to see the original Edwardian fireplaces, picture rails and internal doors were all still in place. I loved the character. It was just what we were looking for.

I stood at the window in the front bedroom and looked at the view down Lindsey Road and into town. I could see the spire of St Michaels Church in the distance. It was so pretty, quiet and calm. I noticed an original cupboard over the stairs… lt turns out that it makes excellent storage for shoes.

The double aspect window in bedroom number 3 allowed the light to pour in making the room feel light and airy. Who knew one day it would be our twins nursery.

The back bedroom was the icing on the cake, fitted wardrobes, fireplace and a view of the garden.

As my husband and I walked back into town we both said at the same time ‘l love it! Let‘s make an offer!‘
