Watson St lies in the heart of historic Deptford, and my client‘s property is one of but a few surviving period cottages dating back to a time when the river was awash with tall ships and the likes of Gun Wharf & Spice Wharf gave clues to the maritime commercial trade.

Behind the kitchen is the bathroom. Lots of natural light, a free standing roll top bath and separate shower and natural stone tiling, all very smart.
Scoot up to the first floor and take a left into the front bedroom. Light, bright and a good sized double with twin sash windows to the front.
Behind this is bedroom two, another good double with a feature fireplace and again lots of light. An unexpected bonus is the nursery or study space off here, perfect for burgeoning families or the ever more desirable wfh space.
From the kitchen, we access the garden, which stretches back almost 60‘, is East/West oriented, blessed with several fruit trees and would lend itself perfectly to the addition of a studio/workshop. Such a fab space, barely overlooked.
Deptford has a great buzz about it, with a fabulous outdoor market and high st and the uber-trendy market yard down by the station houses some home gems including The Tapas Room, Lomond Coffee and Mama‘s Jerk, as well as Little Nan‘s (cocktails in teapots - who knew?) and AAJA Deptford - a bar, record store and live performance space. Another fave is Marcella (Italian).
Transport wise Deptford or New Cross mainline and Overground are within easy reach, and the DLR at Deptford Bridge is close too.
There‘s some great outdoor space locally, and just up the road are the imperious spaces of Greenwich Park and Blackheath.
