Description

3, Argyle Street. Ulverston. LA12 0BD
Who in this world does not remember Stan Laurel? Of course, he was one half of the famous comedy duo Laurel and Hardy of international fame. He was born in this house 16th June 1890 and now it’s your chance to buy an important piece of history. Ulverston is extremely proud of the fact that he was born here, and in town, there is the famous Stan Laurel Museum, which sees a continuous stream of visitors from around the world including, of course, the international fan club known as the Sons of the Desert. There is a pub named after him, and the statue of L and H outside the Coronation Hall was unveiled by another comedy legend, Ken Dodd.
The Property is a very neat, bay-windowed terraced house and is situated close to the town centre and a range of other amenities. There is an Entrance Hallway, 2 Reception Rooms, a nicely fitted kitchen, and upstairs a white Bathroom and 2 good double Bedrooms. The house is well decorated and carpeted and has full Double Glazing including both the front and rear doors.
Outside at the rear is a private Yard with a useful Store. The house is being offered fro sale with the benefit of no chain.
N.B. Clearly this is a very comfortable property for permanent usage, but as a Holiday Cottage, with the clear advantage of its undisputed connection to Stan Laurel, the sale provides a unique opportunity to capitalise on that fact.
