Location
Swan Cottage is beautifully located within the village of Boltongate which enjoys a delightful setting looking across the valley to the Lakeland fells. The village is well connected to the main road network being a little over 1.5 miles to the A595 which connects Carlisle (15 miles) and Cockermouth (12 miles).

The convenience of the location is superb. The pretty Lake District village of Caldbeck is just 6 miles. Other nearby villages include Ireby 1.5 miles, and Uldale 3 miles. Boltongate is also well placed for access to the Solway coast including
the village of Allonby. The town of Cockermouth set beside the River Derwent and has a good range of amenities and places of interest. Wigton is also close by where there are plenty of local shops.
