Description

A delightfully situated cottage with a beautiful garden and fantastic views, set in a semi-rural location and yet only just over half a mile to shops and facilities in the centre of the town. The very pretty accommodation comprises two bedrooms, one with fabulous far reaching views, a family bathroom, kitchen, dining room, sitting room with wood burning stove and conservatory leading out to the lovely garden. Outside, there is parking for one (or possibly two if the second is small) vehicles, a small garage and a good sized store/workshop as well as a log store. The garden is well screened and attractively planted with a good variety of flowering shrubs and small trees. The garden is sloping and therefore partly terraced with a natural stone water feature, an area of lawn, a summer house and a raised seating area from where you can enjoy the lovely views. The property is well presented throughout with double glazed windows and electric storage heating as well as the multi-fuel stove.

Colyton is a pretty little market town (more like a village) with a small town centre offering a good range of daily needs including two convenience stores, fish and chip shop, butcher, hairdressers, post office, small stationers, pharmacy, health centre, garden centre, library and a few other individual shops. On the edge of the town is the tramway station which operates services throughout the summer along the Axe Estuary to Seaton. The Jurassic Coast and pretty harbour at Axmouth is just 2.5 miles away and the ever-popular seaside resort of Lyme Regis just 7 miles to the east. There is a primary school in the town and the well regarded Colyton Grammar School is just over a mile away. A beautiful Church is at the heart of the town and there is an interesting variety of architecture. Nearby Axminster (6 miles), has a mainline station with regular trains to London Waterloo and Exeter. The city of Exeter is approx. 25mins by car and the airport just outside Exeter is approx. 19 miles.
