The Location

Living a few minutes‘ walk to Wokingham town, but in a traffic-free setting, is something buyers often tell us is on their wish list.

Nearby Wokingham town has recently been regenerated, with a more pedestrian-friendly experience in the newly-opened Peach Place. High-end retailers Waterstones, Waitrose, MiMis, Gail‘s bakery Maythers and Toni & Guy are on the doorstep. Wokingham has a good choice of excellent coffee shops, some of the oldest pubs, excellent eateries, a butcher, tailor, boutiques, jewellers, farmers‘ market, pharmacies and modern medical centre. Health facilities include several gyms, a public pool and sports & racquet clubs at Cantley Park. For nightlife, the new Elms Field development hosts an Everyman Boutique Cinema, nearby bowling alley and various excellent bars and restaurants. The Carnival Pool is undergoing complete refurbishment, and should open in a few months.

For commuters, the M4 is just a few minutes‘ drive away, and the Wokingham-to-Waterloo trains run frequently, with direct trains in just over an hour. For holiday times, the Gatwick Express runs from Wokingham, arriving in the South Terminal in just under 75 minutes. Trains to Reading run frequently, and Reading is now major transport hub with primary services to numerous major cities and towns.

With the station just a couple of minutes‘ walk from this lovely home, there‘s also the convenience of the local Lion bus service which runs routes between Reading & Bracknell, and nearby Broad St bus stop serves routes to Barkham, Finchampstead, Arborfield and Reading.
