Description

With delightful landscaped rear garden, no chain and enjoying an excellent village location within a short walk of the High Street- comprehensively refurbished two bedroom cottage of excellent quality

Comment from Robert Reed of Gascoigne Halman

It‘s often been said that you only get one chance to make a first impression. When I got to the front door of this cottage and noted the ‘Eaton Estate Red‘ colour, this made a very strong and positive first impression on me. Attention to detail, thought and care runs right through this lovely cottage. It is offered for sale with no ongoing chain and has been subject to a comprehensive scheme of renovation and improvement.

When marketing a house, one of the first questions an agent needs to answer is the likely target audience. In my view this cottage has a great many who it may attract. For the working professional who wants a stylish renovated home within short distance of restaurants, bars and cafes, this is a great option. Who else? Well attention investors - this would be a great addition to the rental market. And for those who are looking to downsize or establish a second home, this cottage offers multiple advantages.

Inside the owners have embraced contemporary living concepts and created a terrific open plan kitchen diner. It is comprehensively equipped and this includes a ‘Montpellier‘ oven - which gives me the chance to dust down my GCSE French and say ‘J‘adore cette excellente maison!‘

The kitchen overlooks and opens on to the rear garden - a super outdoor space that is surprisingly private and much larger than that typically expected of this era and type of house. It also has within it a small outhouse which provides useful storage and showing the attention to detail, again has a ‘Eaton Estate Red‘ colour.
There is also a living room at ground floor level, which gives a useful additional break out space. With modern day living requirements in mind, it may well also be utilised to partly form a home office.

At first floor there is a stylish bathroom and two bedrooms, one with a view to the front and one an aspect to the back.

So, overall this is a real gem and a welcome addition to the market. Blending modern crispness with original character, this terrific cottage is worthy of the highest levels of approbation.
