***Vendors comments*** "We were looking for our first home together and fell in love with this house the first time we saw it. We loved the big bedrooms, the open kitchen with centre island and the fact that it also had a huge garden. Having lived here for nearly four years we are moving to be closer to family, before we start our own family. Over the years we have done various bits and bobs since we moved in and continuously while living here. We’ve painted every room, added new flooring downstairs, carpets upstairs, we transformed the garden (Oli even built a firepit - which we’ll really miss) and most recently we had the bathroom completely redone; installing a brand new shower, bath, double sinks and under floor heating. If we had ended up staying longer we planned to extend the kitchen and add a little roof terrace. Several houses on the street have extended the ground floor and loft, so planning permission should be easy to get. In terms of food shopping and amenities we have plenty nearby. There is a big Tesco on the main road, a smaller Tesco & Lidl even closer by (just a few minutes walk) as well as a post office, gym, local coffee shop etc. And there is an amazing restaurant called Sorrento In, which does the best pizza we’ve ever had (seriously)! We‘re also a short drive from Purley Way; Ikea, Sainsburys, B&Q etc. Which is so handy! The house is in an excellent location for transport links, with Thornton Heath station less than a 15 minute walk away- we both work in central so it’s easy to commute. You can also get the bus to east or west Croydon that has a fast train into London Bridge, which takes 14 minutes. The A23 takes you straight down to the M25 and beyond to Gatwick Airport, again, really handy. There are so many things we will miss about the area and our home. This has been our first home where we have made so many memories and we have loved living here. We’ll also miss our lovely neighbours - it’s a very friendly street we live on. And the pizza of course".
