I was on the hunt for a new home and unfortunately all the properties I viewed I missed out on. When I was strolling through the Old Town, I discovered Howarde Court which was a new development – it was easily missed as it was set back from the hustle and bustle. The location won me over when I viewed the coach house, I didn’t realise the space and generous proportions of the rooms – it was very deceptive I just knew this was the property for me and put a reservation fee down immediately!
18 years later I am still enjoying all this property has to offer….
I have really enjoyed my time living here and have made some good friends with my neighbours in our gated development. I love the flow of my home as I have a spacious welcoming hallway with stairs leading to the first floor, the kitchen has a modern finish and is the perfect space for entertaining friends and family or pure relaxation after a long day. I love my sizeable lounge which has an abundance of light flowing in from the two windows which overlook the quaint courtyard. My family bathroom has a stylish finish which benefits from a bath and overhead shower.
There is a further staircase leading to the master bedroom with en-suite, the room is spacious and opulent and even now I go to bed feeling like I am staying in a 5-star hotel. It is light, airy, and just has the most relaxing ambience. This is my favourite room in my home.
The design of the property is unique I have a small area on the top floor landing where I work from home it is relaxing and somewhere I enjoy spending my time also.
In my time living here I have recently installed a new boiler, with wall mounted up right fitted radiators and re-fitted the en-suite.
My home nestles in the historic Old Town of Stevenage, through our gates, you are right on the high street with a huge variety of restaurants, bars, as well as boutique shops, a Pharmacy and Tesco’s – every amenity is on your doorstep which I love. This ideal purchase is within a few minutes’ walk of Stevenage Train Station with its high-speed links to London within half an hour.
The time has come for me to start a new chapter, but I don’t think I will ever find anything as unique and special as this magnificent property….
