Description

A very well-presented, extended three bedroom semi-detached house, generous off street parking options and great south facing rear garden.

This super property has been very thoughtfully updated and extended to create a comfortable and modern family home which offers a surprising amount of space. The property is believed to have been built in the 1940s of brick elevations under a slate roof and in recent years has been further enhanced with the addition of an attractive front porch and wrap around conservatory both sympathetically matching the original brick.
The kitchen and bathrooms have also been updated with contemporary fittings and much attention given to maximise the space within this home.
A front porch is laid to an appealing decorative tiled floor and provides good space for coats and shoes. The spacious living room has views to the front and is well decorated featuring a vibrant coloured wall which has a cast iron fireplace surround with gas fire (currently not in use and not tested). The kitchen is fitted with wall and base units with work tops over, inset sink and drainer with mixer tap and has space for a cooker, slim line dishwasher and washing machine. The family bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath with rain water shower head and separate attachment, a pedestal basin, heated towel rail and mirrored wall mounted vanity unit.
Besides the kitchen there is a cloakroom and under stairs area which houses a full height fridge/freezer and stable door which leads into an impressive conservatory, laid to a practical tiled floor and a fantastic bright and versatile space with double doors out to the garden.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two of which are double with the main bedroom benefitting from built in wardrobes.

Sporting, walking and riding opportunities abound within the area with golf clubs at both Sherborne and Yeovil while the region is well known for both its public and privately funded schooling. Communication links are good with a main line station at Sherborne linking directly with London Waterloo while road links are along the A303 joined at Wincanton giving swift access to London and the Home Counties along the M3, M25 route.

A bloc paved driveway to the front provides parking for two cars and has a pedestrian pathway to one side leading to the front and side doors. The rear garden is a real sun trap with south facing orientation and is secure and enclosed with a rear gate giving access to a further area of parking at the rear. The garden is laid to lawn and has raised beds and paved areas to the rear and side and a hardstanding with shed. There is also a really useful brick built store which has light and power and provides space for a dryer and additional white goods.
