This very attractive Grade II Listed double fronted stone-built end cottage is found in a quiet village location. Coldridge has a great community with plenty going on. Based around the village hall, there are regular activities and events which even include a pop up caf©, so residents can get as involved as they choose in village life.
The well-presented and improved accommodation includes three bedrooms and a white suite bathroom upstairs (with shower and screen over the bath), with the ground floor being of an open-plan nature giving flexibility on how the next owner dresses and uses the space. The dining area has an opening through to the spacious lounge area with a recently replaced wood-burning stove (and fully lined chimney). A fantastic addition (and rare for a cottage of this type) is the ground floor cloakroom / store which was recently installed. A breakfast bar leads to the kitchen with oak worktop and matching shelves (integrated Neff oven and hob, washing machine, fridge, freezer and dishwasher can also be included). The property has LPG gas central heating throughout and all light fittings will stay.
The current owner overhauled the main roof in late 2023 as well as the replacing of some windows (like for like) and repointing of the stonework on the front. They have also added a bespoke back door with a beautiful stained glass window which is a fantastic feature.
To the rear is an enclosed courtyard (7m x 5.7m) with a storage shed/store with power (plus rear access for gas bottle access and removing refuse/recycling). To the front (across the quiet lane) is a lovely garden area (approximately 17m long) which houses the summerhouse. Its safe with fencing and an abundance of plants and shrubs, plenty to keep those with the greenest of fingers busy. There is also an off-road parking space and additional parking is freely available around the village.
Please see the floorplan for room sizes.

COLDRIDGE is a secluded, undisturbed village not far to the north of Dartmoor National Park. Until the early 1900s it was known as Coleridge it is thought to mean the ridge where charcoal is made, a sound conclusion, and once where there were wooded hills, now lie green pastures. It rests along the epic Two Moors Way, a trail that runs from Devons South to North Coast more than an idle wander. For access to a comprehensive choice of facilities the town of Crediton is 9 miles away, a short trip. The nearest train station is Morchard Road, 4 miles away this sits along the Tarka Line that twists through some of the most scenic parts of Devon, through open country and hidden gorges from the City of Exeter all the way to Barnstaple.
DIRECTIONS : For sat-nav use EX17 6AU and the What3Words address is ///robots.baker.documents but if you want the traditional directions, please read on.
From Crediton take the A377 towards Barnstaple, going through Copplestone (4 miles), keeping on the A377 and approximately 1.5 miles from Copplestone turn left onto the B3220 Winkleigh Road. Follow this road for approximately 3 miles and turn right as signed to Coldridge and the village is about 1 mile along this road. Proceed into the village, going past the green (on your right). Fork right, and 4 South View will be seen on the right.

What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small file containing a unique identifier that is placed in the web browser of your computer or mobile device. Such recognition helps the efficient operation of PropertyHeads, including our website and apps.
Does PropertyHeads Use Cookies?
Yes, like most websites and social networks, we use cookies in the course of providing you with our Services.
What Cookies Does PropertyHeads Use, and Why?
We use both session cookies and persistent cookies.

We use cookies to operate and improve PropertyHeads, specifically:

What Other Related Technologies Does PropertyHeads Use, and Why?
Tracking Pixels: Our advertising partners may use tracking pixels or similar technology to measure the success of the sponsored posts or other advertising products they use. A “tracking pixel” (also sometimes called web beacon, or clear GIF) is a tiny piece of code, invisible to the user, placed on a webpage or in an email and used in combination with a cookie, to link a given activity or impression back to the user; the advertiser includes it in its content so it can measure whether our members interact with that content (for example, by clicking to view an offer). We may set our own tracking pixel on an advertiser’s website so we can measure whether our members found the advertiser’s content effective or interesting, by tracking whether the sponsored post prompted members to take advantage of the advertised offer. This information helps us assess whether sponsored posts and other advertising offers are relevant and interesting to our members and successful for the advertiser.
