Description

Dodds Mead is a pleasant cul-de-sac located off Broad Lane central to the village and arguably one of the best locations in the village just a few minutes walk to the village school, two Churches, caf© and delicatessen while having enviable views over Haslingfield meadow.

6 Dodds Mead has a particularly wonderful plot of around 0.16 of an acre, with beautifully maintained lawns and hedgerows and a paved terrace. The property has been updated by the current owners and offers the potential for further extension subject to necessary planning.

The front door of the property is approached over the large driveway providing off-street parking for multiple cars and leading to the double garage. The entrance hall is bright and airy and has been fitted with parquet flooring which extends throughout the ground floor with the exception of the kitchen. The kitchen has been comprehensively fitted with a range of wall and base-mounted units, an integrated oven and a hob with an extractor over and ample work surfaces while leaving room for freestanding appliances. The sitting room and dining room both sit to the back of the property with views over the rear garden and Haslingfield meadows beyond. The large sitting room has the use of bi-fold doors opening onto a patio providing an ideal space for entertaining. An additional room currently used as a home office but offers a high degree of flexibility and could be used as a 5th bedroom/snug/playroom completes the downstairs accommodation.

Upstairs are four comfortable double bedrooms with bedroom one having the use of an ensuite shower room. The family bathroom has been fitted with a three-piece white suite with a shower over the bath and a glass shower screen and is finished with attractive floor-to-ceiling tiles and a heated towel rail.

Outside the property sits towards the middle of the plot with mature shrubs and trees providing private front and rear gardens. The front garden is predominantly laid to lawn with a seating area to the side of the property offering a sheltered south-facing suntrap. The rear garden again is laid to lawn with another seating area to the back to the property providing an ideal space for alresco dining. A low-level fence at the back of the garden provides far-reaching views over Haslingfield Meadows.

Material Information report can be viewed by clicking on the brochure link.

Haslingfield is a lovely, traditional village about 4 miles south-west of the city boundary. It is far enough out that it feels like a village, but close enough to offer easy access to Cambridge, the A10 or the M11. For cyclists there is a network of bridleways and permissive routes to Grantchester, Trumpington and Harston.

Within the village there is a pre-school and local primary school rated ‘good‘ by Ofsted, there is also a post office and general store, an independent caf© and a delicatessen. The thriving community has various sporting and social clubs, groups and societies. There is a village hall, pub, excellent playground, recreation ground and separate skate park.
