Description

Set in a corner plot of 0.12 acre and within walking distance of Hartford village centre, splendid four bedroom, there bathroom detached house with breakfast kitchen, four receptions and double garage

Comment from Robert Reed of Gascoigne Halman
This super detached house was constructed by Redrow in 1991 to what at the time was known as their Cavendish design. It extends to 2381 square feet, including the double garage. Whitehall Drive is well regarded locally with notable features being the generous spacing of the houses, the good size plots and the maturity of the trees and planting.

The road is ideally located within Hartford village being within walking distance of the village centre whilst also being well positioned away from both the bypass and railway line. The net effect is a position that combines outstanding convenience with surprising tranquillity.

The house design is one that I can vouch for as a brilliant house to live in I know this as I spent many years living in a Redrow Cavendish design myself. The layout is ideal in so many regards and this particular house has been extended at ground floor level and also has many other recent upgrades that include a luxurious en suite shower room, an attractive modern kitchen, high quality floor coverings and a high quality front door.

Notable highlights include the size of the living room and principal bedroom, both substantially bigger than the norm, the terrific garden room that is a stylish extension and the versatility provided by having two en suite shower rooms in addition to the family bathroom.

Compared to houses built in more recent years, property of this era has the benefit of much more generous parking arrangements, with comfortable room here for four cars. In addition the plot size at 0.12 acre is almost double the typical modern equivalent and there are no service charges as well as the house having the advantage of freehold tenure. The garden here is also a delight, with a large patio area, well tended lawn, a beautifully established rear boundary and a side garden that presently houses a greenhouse.

I know Hartford well and can say with my hand on heart that this is a house that you will really enjoy living in and is a rare gem at less than £650,000.
