6 Culver Close, Hartford CW8 1TW
This wonderful Redrow home on the edge of Hartford was built in 2021, significantly upgraded, and comes complete with family-friendly accommodation, a large two-tier garden, a driveway and an integral garage.
Redrow Oxford
This Waters Reach property was built in 2021, and bought off-plan by the owners. Part of Redrows Heritage Collection, The Oxford house type is a 1930s-style detached, with a layout that combines both open and separate spaces.
The owners upgraded significantly, including a Quooker tap, a wine fridge and waste disposal in the kitchen, tado* heating controls throughout, an alarm with remote operation, plus an EV charger, an electric garage door, and an access door between the house and the garage. Theyve also sealed and painted the garage floor to minimise dust, and part-boarded the loft for even more storage.
Storage is elsewhere in the home, to wardrobes in two of the bedrooms, an understairs cupboard, two cupboards on the landing, and of course the garage.
Owner quote: We hadnt lived in a readymade home before. Wed built our own, but we were looking for something we could move into. Were very happy with the house, its been a great home.
Open-plan space
The kitchen/dining room is across the back of the house, granting size and that social aspect. Theres a generous dining area for hosting friends, and French doors from here open onto the patio for getting straight outside in the sun. Amtico flooring continues from the hall, into the cloakroom, kitchen/dining room and utility room.
The kitchen is fitted in attractive white cabinetry with dark granite surfacing, and theres a central island and a pantry cupboard. Integrated Siemens appliances include a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer, a double oven with a microwave setting, and an induction hob with an extractor.
The adjoining utility has further storage and surfacing, a sink, gaps for a washing machine and a tumble dryer, and leads to the cloakroom. Theres also a back door for taking washing out to dry.
Owner quote: We like the fact that its all there, its got everything we want, everything we need. It just works.
Separation when needed
The lounge is useful for when you need some separation, whether to watch TV in comfort or quietly read a book. Its at the front of the accommodation, away from the main living space. The bay window brings in lovely natural light, and the fireplace gives the room a cosy feel. The fire is electric with smoke, flame and glowing coals effects.
For sleeping
Upstairs are four bedrooms, each a double, and with fitted wardrobes in bedrooms one and two. Bedroom one has a bay window for brightness, and an en suite shower room for convenience. The en suite and the family bathroom are contemporary, with white suites, chrome fixtures and fittings, and neutral grey wall and floor tiling. The bedrooms at the back have far-reaching outlooks over the roofs behind and into the trees beyond.
Owner quote: It gives us a great view. It slopes away when you look out the back. You can see the Derbyshire hills.
Stepping outside
To the front of the property, theres off-road parking for three cars, with two side by side on the driveway, and one in the garage. Culver Close is unrestricted, so theres the option for overflow on the road, and the surfacing has been finished by the developer. Being a cul de sac, theres little through traffic.
The garden is set over two tiers, which works well for a family. Parents can sit on the patio on the top tier, while little ones play on the lower lawn. The owners have added a flowering cherry and fragrant jasmine, and theres plenty of potential for more planting if preferred. Facing east, the garden is ideal for sitting outside during the day, especially for a morning coffee, and the elevated plot affords privacy from neighbours below.
Owner quote: You can usually find sun. In the evening in the summer, you still get sun in the lower garden. The top half of the garden weve fenced for privacy, and its not overlooked as a result.

What Other Related Technologies Does PropertyHeads Use, and Why?
Tracking Pixels: Our advertising partners may use tracking pixels or similar technology to measure the success of the sponsored posts or other advertising products they use. We may set our own tracking pixel on an advertiser’s website so we can measure whether our members found the advertiser’s content effective or interesting, by tracking whether the sponsored post prompted members to take advantage of the advertised offer.
