Description

IN THE OWNER‘S WORDS
'I have enjoyed living in this house immensely, especially for the magnificent views over the Fowey Estuary at the front of the house and the bay and open sea at the back of the house. The house itself is very cosy and comfortable with many original features.

I am only selling as I need to move closer to family in London at this time.'

PROPERTY
An attractive Edwardian terraced house full of character and superb elevated views of Fowey Harbour to the front and open sea to the rear. The home offers plenty of space with well sized rooms spread over three floors.

Entering the home the Edwardian tessellated floor tiles in the hallway introduce you to the character of the property. To the front of the house is a ground floor bedroom with views over the front garden and glimpses of the harbour. This is a good sized double room and has a feature fireplace at one end. This room could be equally well used as a sitting room.

Towards the rear of the house is a large dining room with adjoining galley kitchen. The dining room also features a charming fireplace with tiled surround and a slate hearth. There are French doors leading out to the rear courtyard.

The kitchen has a range of base and wall mounted cabinetry with a solid wood worktop that wraps to three sides of the kitchen. Dual aspect windows allow plenty of natural light and there is a door leading out to the courtyard. A sink with a mixer tap sits below the rear facing window and there is an integral fridge, freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob and washing machine. The oil fired boiler is also located in the far corner.

Between the bedroom and dining room there is a convenient w/c.

Heading up to the first floor the master bedroom runs the full width of the front of the house and has lovely views over the harbour and Fowey beyond. To the rear of the house there is a small third bedroom or study and a spacious family bathroom with freestanding clawfoot tub, separate shower and a high level traditional toilet.

Moving up to the second floor, there is a nicely proportioned sitting room. Bifold doors open to bring the outside, in. The views from here are superb. To the rear of the room a dormer window creates a pleasant seating area and offers views in the opposite direction out towards Gribben Head.

Outside, there is a paved front garden where a lawn could be created, and is a pleasant space to sit and relax. The aforementioned courtyard to the rear is south facing and is a nice place for al-fresco dining. Behind the terrace there is lawned area which is under ownership of each of the 4 properties however is unfenced and treated communally. Each property has private storage in a brick built outbuilding. A shared path runs to the far side of the terrace and between the houses and this garden giving each owner access.
