I have now decided after much thought to sell my lovely cosy home in Cornwall. I have been procrastinating about it this last year because it has been in the family for over 70 years, 44 years of which I have owned it. I have enjoyed the location‘s tranquility and views, and having friends and guests stay and also helping people from AirBnB and Spareroom over the years. As a single person this has been fun and this last year I enjoyed helping a few NHS Nurses as lodgers bringing in good income. It is fully furnished and ready for use as a main family home, holiday home, AirBnB lets or for sharing with Lodgers as soon as purchased. It really has excellent income potential. There are 4 snug doubles and a small child‘s room come study upstairs with a bathroom. It has central heating and is double-glazed. I have left the small back yard flat unfinished so that it is a blank canvas for you to design and enjoy your own desires. Telephone and Wifi are in situ. The two downstairs living rooms were converted into one long open lounge. Besides the upstairs bathroom there is also a downstairs shower room with basin and WC next to the Utility Room which has a handy back door access too. The Kitchen-Diner also has French doors.

When I bought the house in 1980 I had it re-roofed. In 2008 it had a full internal renovation with the inside gutted, replacing floors, ceilings, electrics, plumbing and removing fireplaces; and a central heating system was fitted. The inside had all the walls picked and plastered and a new internal insulated timber framed and plaster boarded structure built. The central heating and hot water is provided through a Grants Combi Oil Boiler. It has around 110 square metres of floor area which includes the front porch.

It will be a very good long-term investment! In London, this money would only get you a one-bed flat on a very polluted and smelly Thames, in the overcrowded and exhaust fumed traffic congested Capital! It‘s a no-brainer! The train connection to London Paddington takes only 5 hours. Why pay £1-2 Million for a leasehold (really only renting) 2-bed apartment with high monthly maintenance fees in St Ives, Carbis Bay or Hayle when this freehold (all your own) house is only 15 minutes drive away with wonderful open countryside and distant sea views of St Ives Bay. My favourite beach is just a short drive where I walk from Hayle Estuary to Gwithian sands near Godrevy Lighthouse, a 4-mile sandy beach walk along the sand dunes and enjoy the fresh air, sound of the waves and sea breeze blowing in your face! A place to find yourself and relax. You can‘t beat it!!

An old wooden beach hut recently sold for £180K which will eventually rot if not taken by coastal erosion. And a 2 Bed Wooden Property near Gwithian Towans Sand Dunes, just 6 miles as the crow flies from my home and just 15 minutes away in the car, has just been advertised for £649,000! And don‘t forget the many horror stories about new homes having hundreds of snags and problems; my home has stood the test of time!

Please Note: I am not in any hurry to sell and will not do up the house for presentational purposes. It is fully furnished. It is not a show house and will remain as is, used and enjoyed. Rooms will not be painted anew or a new kitchen or bathroom put in. It is for the new owner to change and decorate and improve as they wish. Same goes for the garden areas. You will have a blank canvas on which to play around with. So, this will be my very personal Offer for considering letting Go of my cherished piece of Paradise.
