Description

“We love living on Cleeve Road - it’s part of a friendly neighbourhood and we felt welcomed from day one. The location gives access to a range of green spaces, with direct access to Arnos Park within moments. Also within easy walking distance is Redcatch Park, with its community garden and cafe, plus the Victorian splendour and nature reserve of Arnos Cemetery. Thanks to Upper Knowle’s position above Bristol, we have fond memories of watching hot air balloons in summer and fireworks in autumn from our loft room. Being one of the few semi-detached homes on the street we have enjoyed the extra garden space and side access, perfect for barbecue season, especially with the south-facing aspect! Cleeve Road is close to the growing amenities of Wells Road, with shops, delis and new eateries springing up, and a firm favourite our popular local pub, The Knowle. Being so close to the popular Hillcrest primary school means many parents on the street walk their children to school through the cemetery grounds via “the secret gate”. We hope the new owners love the house as much as we do.”

Cleeve Road is in a popular pocket of houses between Wells Road and Bath Road. One of the real benefits of this house is the amount and variety of parks and green spaces within a short distance. Redcatch Park and Community Garden, Perretts Park and Arnos Vale Cemetery, with its popular Atrium Café, all within 10 minutes walk from the house. The expansive Victoria Park and Callington Road Nature Reserve are also nearby, providing brilliant open spaces for the summer or for walking the dog all year round. The area is easily commutable from Bristol City Centre, approximately 30 minutes walk, a short cycle or bus journey down Wells Road. The area also has lots of amenities on the doorstep with Wells Road recently becoming home to more and more popular bars, cafes and restaurants. The Knowle Pub is within easy reach and provides the ideal locals pub for food and drink and is a great spot for a Sunday lunch or a beer in the garden.

A great sized semi-detached family home in this pretty terrace of Victorian properties in Knowle. Downstairs there is a reception to the front with bay window, stripped wood floors and Victorian fireplace and a second reception room/playroom with doors to the garden. To the rear of the house is a dining room with storage and wood floors which then leads to the kitchen with plenty of units, butler sink and door to the garden which has plenty of flower beds, a patio and a lawned area.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor and the loft has been converted to a fourth bedroom and family bathroom with views across Bristol.
