Description

A fantastically presented, substantial detached home with incredible garden to the rear. The property itself is very well appointed with modern and contemporary fitting throughout including the kitchen and three bathrooms. There is a wealth of living accommodation with three separate reception rooms; the lounge has a solid roof conservatory to the rear providing wonderful views over the gardens. Most of the bedrooms also look out to the rear making use of the wonderful views up to Eccles Pike with the master bedroom having a cleverly hidden ensuite shower room. Externally the property impresses further; there is off road parking for many vehicles with the driveway sweeping around the front of the house to the rear where there is a detached double garage. A decked veranda spans the rear of the property and leads on to the formal garden with garden room. The gardens then continue beyond the stone wall, almost as far as the eye can see! this is mainly laid to lawn with hedging and interspersed with mature trees.
Located on the ever popular Manchester Road, the property is within easy reach of Chapel-en-le-Frith town centre as well as being close by to various footpaths for exploring the neighbouring countryside.

In a little more detail, the accommodation on offer is entered via a porch into the hallway with window to the front and staircase leading to the first floor. The lounge is a spacious, dual aspect room with bay window to the front, gas fire in fireplace and open into the conservatory to the rear overlooking the gardens. The dining has a bay window to the rear and serving hatch through to the kitchen. The kitchen itself has a range of modern wall and base units in a Shaker style with integrated appliances, granite worktops and a granite peninsula creating a breakfast area. Off the kitchen is the third reception room; this is a versatile space which would make a great home office, play room or occasional bedroom as it has an ensuite shower room off complete with WC, wash basin and shower cubicle.

The first floor houses the landing with double glazed window to the front, the master bedroom which looks out to the front and has a bank of fitted wardrobes, discretely hidden through one of these wardrobes is the ensuite with WC, wash basin and shower cubicle. Bedroom two spans the depth of the house looking out to both the front and rear and has fitted bedroom furniture. The family bathroom includes a wall mounted WC and wash basin, bath and wet room style shower area with glass screen. Bedrooms three and four also look out to the rear over the gardens and up to Eccles Pike beyond.

Externally the property is accessed via a driveway which extends along the front of the house to the detached garage at the rear. There is a lawn at the front with flowerbeds and a hedge providing privacy. To the rear, there decking directly to the rear of the house which leads down to the garden that is mainly laid to lawn, has a gravelled perimeter ideal for pot plants and a garden room currently used for entertaining as a bar. The rear garden then continues some distance beyond the dwarf wall which is again laid to lawn, bordered by hedging and fencing and adjoining fields to the side and rear.
LOCATION
Chapel-en-le-Frith, known as 'The Capital of the Peak' nestles in an upland valley in the High Peak and is surrounded by dramatic landscape of gritstone ridges and shapely hills. The town takes its name from a small chapel built in 1225 by the keepers of the Royal Forest that is now the Church of St Thomas Becket, where 1,500 Scottish soldiers were imprisoned during the Civil War. The historic town centre also features a traditional marketplace which still has its original renowned stocks which the local cafe takes its name. A common phrase you here many resident say is "We are so lucky to live here" even after living in the town for decades. That is further, solid evidence, if ever it was needed that Chapel-en-le-Frith and its surrounding towns and villages are an excellent place to set up home.
