Description

DESCRIPTION This large detached home is situated towards the rural edge within the popular Reeds Farm development with easy access to countryside walks and is also located within walking distance to Malmesbury town centre. In 2013, the property was vastly improved by a substantial two storey extension making it one of the largest homes available within the development whilst internally the property has been finished to a high standard. In all, the accommodation extends to 2,129 sq.ft. spanning over two floors.

Centred around an entrance hall, the ground floor comprises a spacious 29ft living room with a stylish electric fire as the centre piece, bi-folding doors open to the impressive kitchen/family room which has an AGA, beautifully fitted units and built-in appliances including a dishwasher, oven and microwave. Off from the kitchen is a utility room whilst French doors open to the garden. A garage conversion has added a shower room and snug which could be utilised as a ground floor bedroom if required and could even be arranged as a self-contained unit benefitting from private side access.

On the first floor, a spacious landing serves six double bedrooms in total and a luxurious family bathroom which has a sperate shower and jacuzzi bath, as well as a television inset over the bath. Three of the bedrooms have walk-in wardrobes whilst the master and second bathroom both have en-suite shower rooms.

In front of the property, there is ample tarmac driveway parking and a lawn to the side whilst a gravelled area provides further parking space as required. The rear garden is of good size and predominately laid to lawn with a large stone-built seating area centred around a firepit, perfect for summer entertaining.

SITUATION Malmesbury is an ancient hilltop town situated on the southern edge of The Cotswolds. Traditionally a market town serving the rural area of North West Wiltshire, the town is reputed to be the oldest borough in England created by Charter in 880 AD by Alfred the Great. Today, the High Street has numerous independent shops, pubs and restaurants including a new Waitrose store and a regular weekly Farmer‘s market whilst the town has excellent choice of both primary and secondary schools and good recreational and leisure facilities. The M4 motorway (J17) to the south provides fast road access to the major employment centres of Bristol and Swindon together with London and the West Country. Main line rail services are available from Chippenham and Kemble (Paddington in about 75 minutes).
